No child should be denied the special joys of childhood because they are placed in foster care, due to no fault of their own.

To accomplish this we raise money to supplement the subsidy that Napa County foster parents receive for providing a nurturing family environment, as well the basic food, clothing and shelter.  Examples of our support have  included music lessons, sports, special equipment, camps, classes, tutoring, graduation expenses, school outings, and some cosmetic dental care and medical services not covered by the State.

We also have, thanks to Auction Napa Valley * raised funds to assist Napa County in establishing and operating its first Emergency Childrens Receiving Center.

Auction Napa Valley has recently approved a grant of $28,000 for the basic mission of the FKF to support the needs of individual foster children. To receive this grant we need to raise an equal amount in match. To do this we will be reaching out to the Napa County community and organizations for their support.
